This surgery requires minimal recovery time. Patients can expect to see results 3 months post-operation, with swelling being most evident during the first week. Patients can return to their regular daily activities and dieting after one day of rest. Antibiotics are also given to the patients to help the healing process, along with a prescribed mouthwash to avoid infection. Patients are able to receive pain medication if they experience any discomfort.
